Elections 2010

Less than a month left to go and more and more people seem to think that Labour deserves to lose the election but does this make the Conservatives an instant right to win? Apparently not, rumour has it that an unexpected party is likely to win the race and this will mean the first time in almost 4 decades this new party may be handed the important role.

With the elections coming up in more and more political parties are going head to head and are putting as much effort as they can by criticizing their rival parties. The way is effective, informing the nation that the other parties are lying and by backing their words with data but sometimes I can't help but wonder how reliable are the statistics political parties give?

I never had much idea on the political fields, it never seemed to interest me as much. Maybe I was young and new to the whole politics and the importance of power, the power to speak on behalf of Britain. The power which will give me the power to make changes not only to my life but to everyone else's life.

A year ago I was sent this polling card and for the first time I guess politics began to hit me, having studying Business for the second year I have a very brief knowledge. My vote went to the Conservatives. This year, I am thinking and my views are slowly changing.

Gordan Brown came into power at probably the worst possible time, this applies to Mr. Obama. 2009-2010 is one of the most toughest and more demanding year for both the financial sector and of course politics as all eyes are on them. How will the tax be decided? Public spending? benefits? Immigration?

Reading the news online and watching several new channels and such it seems like political parties are not using the traditional method of explaining what WENT RIGHT in the past year, but in fact they are talking about what WENT WRONG, the biggest topic is the well known financial sector, the whole crisis that struck the whole world affecting everyone from the rich to the poor. This is a good point to argue about but this will mean all eyes will focus on Mr. Gordan Brown with the moments and many claims of him 'bullying' everyone this gives a huge shadow on the Labour party.

Conservatives and Mr. Cameron.. I haven't been paying much attention to them at all honesty however I know he has been trying to attract female votes, with articles in Glamour Magazine or was it Cosmopolitan? I forgot now because I read both but apparently they are considering in offering a 'Discount' if you pay back your University Loan early. It has surely caught my attention. Mrs. Thatcher... hands down.

Liberal Democrats.. Nick Clegg.. I don't really know much about them but with Mr. Vince Cable speaking on regards of the Treasury matter for them were the ones that were the quickest to spot what was needed to be done on the Northern Rock issue as well as the implications of the banking crisis should be broader.

The 3 strongest parties fighting, however why is it that men are the ones that should be in charge of politics? The financial meltdown was caused by bankers and who are the ones that dominates the banking sector? the Males. Politics should actually be run by a Woman. Yes women are emotional and many people believe women should just stay home and have babies oh and do the washing up and cooking.. etc. However that frame of mine should be stopped and people should open their eyes are allow women to dominate the banking sector and politics. If women were more dominating in these sectors maybe we wouldn't have a financial melt down, maybe politics is a complete different matter and history will be made.
