The importance of friends. Friends are those who are there for you through the highs and lows. Friendships gives us the courage to lift the blinds on our hearts to open up and show what we generally keep hidden from the rest of the world.

I spent this week seeing a number of my friends who I haven't seen much. Just on Sunday, myself, Woody and Matt all went to Birmingham to have a karaoke session with some others who later joined. Back in the years when we were all young, a phone call can settle and arrange hang outs but as the years go by, sometimes just a phone call is not enough due to personal commitments and timing.

Take university for example, we all gone our separate ways after used to seeing each other every Sunday before. I went to Kingston Upon Thames for further my own studies, Woody went to Birmingham and Matt went to Nottingham. Although they can see each other often, I will need to find the time to travel as well as them. I am very fortunate to grow up with these two and throughout the years having them behind me and supporting me when I was feeling low.
[As people leave, there would always be the three of us being there for each other.]
I joined university in 2010 and managed to meet some really important people as well. I feel very lucky to be able to meet my lovely friends, Kylie, Ginny, Joanne and Joanne. Without them, my university life would be boring. Although I didn't see Kylie this week, I saw the three. They went abroad to study for a year during 2012-2013 and I missed them dearly whilst they were gone. It felt lonely knowing when I attended my final year lectures they wasn't around. I used to take Mandarin lessons with them three, although I did enjoy Mandarin it wasn't the same without them, without the jokes, without the random laughs. Catching up with them on Wednesday was amazing.
It's true, a good friends knows your best stories but your best friends has lived them with you.
This week has been amazing.
